Growing Blueberry Autoflower is not particularly difficult when comparing it to growing other strains of marijuana. Like most autoflower strains of marijuana, the Blueberry plant is fairly compact, getting as tall as just 32 inches. It also has a fairly high yield, averaging around 6 ounces per three square feet of plant.

The flowering period of the Blueberry Autoflower marijuana plant is average, lasting somewhere around 55 days. It can be grown by beginners without too much trouble. Although an indoor grow setting is preferable, outdoors would work fine as well.

It’s important to note that this particular strain of Blueberry is an auto-flowering strain. That means that, instead of entering its flowering phase along with the seasonal changes in the light, it will instead automatically enter the flowering phase after a certain amount of time. Blueberry comes from the mixing of several landrace strains. These strains came from Afghanistan and Thailand. An Indica from Afghanistan was crossed with a Sativa from Thailand and a Purple Thai Sativa. The result? The excellent Blueberry strain.

It was originally bred by an American marijuana breeder called DJ Short. He was working with various landrace strains until he mastered the perfect Blueberry marijuana plant. Since he has been working with a variety of people in the marijuana seed scene, the genetics for Blueberry have been spread around quite a bit.

Blueberry is considered an Indica. It does have some Sativa genetics, but it is roughly 15% Sativa and 85% Indica, making it more or less an Indica plant.
